At UVC, our goal is that every child trusted to our care will learn about Jesus in a safe and fun environment. To do that, we have several volunteer opportunities available! Our aim is to utilize volunteers every 4 weeks or less.

Substitutes for all roles - If you want to help, but are currently unable to commit to regular participation, we still have a place for you! We are looking for volunteers who are just available to be asked if they can step in for illness or scheduling emergencies.

Nursery - A Nursery area is available for the entire service for ages 0-5 (ages 4-5 join the other big kids when they come over.) No diaper changing is involved, just providing a safe space for babies and toddlers.

Nursery Helpers - Responsible kids ages 10 and up are invited to help the nursery teacher, helping hold babies and play with toddlers. 

Adult Teachers - Each classroom teacher follows a simple lesson plan, provided to you to ensure consistency from week-to-week. A youth helper is also assigned to the kids area for some extra help. Depending on attendance, the classrooms may be split into two age groups.

Youth Helpers - Responsible kids ages 10 and up are invited to help the teacher by engaging with the kids in the classroom. Youth helpers may also be asked to help prepare snacks or other simple classroom tasks. 

Security/Check-In - Security is the first to arrive and the last to leave, making sure that only authorized personnel enter past the check-in counter. They help with the check-in/out process, help page parents if needed, and provide extra adult presence in the building for increased safety. Security can also watch the service's livestream on the TV located in the lobby.
